There is a moment, in front of the camera, when everything stops being constructed.
No perfect pose, no controlled smile. Just a simple, almost ordinary gesture: brushing your teeth.
And yet, something happens right there.
These images come from a clear idea: remove.
Remove the excess, remove the polished aesthetic, remove the need to appear. What remains is something real, something honest — even when it feels uncomfortable.
A creative black and white portrait makes this even stronger.
Without color, the image becomes about texture, skin, and expression. Every detail stands out: the tension of the face, the strength of the gesture, the raw presence of the moment.
This is not photography that tries to please everyone.
It is photography that wants to be felt.
In my portrait work, I often look for that breaking point — the moment when the subject stops performing and starts existing. It’s not easy. We are used to controlling how we look, to protecting ourselves. But when it happens, the result is powerful.
These photos talk about intimacy, but not in a romantic way.
They show a different kind of intimacy: the one found in everyday actions, in moments we usually ignore because they are not “perfect” enough to share.
But maybe they should be.
Because that is where truth lives.
For me, photography is not just about aesthetics.
It is about searching, removing, getting closer to something authentic — even when that feels uncomfortable.
