A studio in the green heart of Venice
Photography Studio in Venice
My photography studio is located in Sant’Elena, one of the quieter and greener areas of Venice, just a short walk from the Biennale. It is a small, private space where I work mainly on portraits and personal photography projects.
There is no large commercial set and no constant flow of people. Just a quiet place, good light, carefully chosen equipment and enough time to create something personal.
The studio can be used for many different kinds of photography: individual portraits, couple portraits, professional headshots, model portfolios and creative projects.
Sometimes the best photographs are created when there is simply enough time to slow down.

Portrait Photography in Venice
A portrait is more than a photograph of a face
A portrait begins with an encounter. Before I think about light, backgrounds or camera settings, I want to understand the person standing in front of me.
Some people arrive knowing exactly what they want. Others simply know that they would like to have a beautiful photograph of themselves but have no idea how to stand, where to look or what to do.
That’s perfectly fine.
You don’t need to know how to pose. My job is to guide you without taking away your personality. I look for small gestures, expressions and moments when you stop thinking about the camera and simply become yourself.
The portrait does not begin when I press the shutter. It begins when we meet.
What can we create in the studio?
Every session can be different. The studio is suitable for simple portraits as well as more structured photographic projects.
Personal Portraits
A portrait session built around you, your personality and the kind of image you would like to create. It can be elegant, intimate, expressive or completely unconventional.
Couple Portraits
A relaxed photo session for two. There is no need for complicated poses. We can simply create a series of photographs that feels natural and reflects the way you are together.
Professional Headshots
A professional portrait can say a lot before you have even spoken. I create clean and natural headshots for professionals, entrepreneurs, artists and creatives who need an image that feels authentic rather than overly formal.
Model & Actor Portfolios
The studio can also be used for model tests, actor portraits and portfolio sessions. We can work with different lighting setups, backgrounds and styles to create a varied selection of images.
Creative Photography Projects
Sometimes a photograph begins with an idea rather than a specific service. If you have a concept, a mood or simply an image you would like to create, we can develop the project together.
The studio
A space designed around light
Light is at the centre of my work. The studio allows me to combine natural light with flash and artificial lighting, changing the atmosphere of a portrait without changing the person in front of the camera.
Soft natural light can create something intimate and quiet. A more controlled artificial setup can become dramatic, sculptural or cinematic. Sometimes I use a simple background and let the person become the entire photograph.
Other times, the light itself becomes part of the story. This flexibility is one of the reasons I enjoy working in a small studio. Nothing needs to be complicated.
The right light, the right person and enough time can be more than enough.
More than a studio
Portraits around Venice
The studio is only one possibility.
Venice itself offers an extraordinary collection of backgrounds, textures and changing light. If the idea suits the project, we can leave the studio and work outdoors. Instead of concentrating only on the most famous views, I prefer quieter corners of the city: small squares, hidden gardens, old walls, narrow streets and places where Venice feels more intimate and authentic.
The city becomes part of the portrait.
This can be especially interesting for visitors who want to combine a portrait photography session in Venice with the experience of discovering a different side of the city.

Portraits at your location
Sometimes the right place is already around you. For certain projects I can also work at a private home, hotel or another location. I can bring the lighting and equipment needed to create a controlled photographic setup wherever we decide to work.
This is particularly useful for personal projects, family portraits or photographs that are connected to a specific place. The location doesn’t need to be perfect.
It simply needs to mean something.
The time we spend together matters
A good portrait rarely comes from rushing. Some people feel comfortable in front of a camera immediately. Others need a little more time. I don’t expect everyone to feel relaxed from the first photograph.
We can take a few minutes, talk, try different positions and allow the session to develop naturally. I will guide you when necessary, but I don’t want you to spend the entire session thinking about what you are supposed to do.
Eventually, something changes. You stop watching the camera. You start being yourself. That’s usually when the interesting photographs appear.
My approach to light and editing
I enjoy working with both natural and artificial light.
I often combine them to create depth and atmosphere, and I frequently work in black and white when the photograph benefits from a more graphic or timeless interpretation. Post-production is an important part of the process, but I don’t use it to turn someone into a different person.
The aim is to enhance the photograph while keeping the person recognisable and real. Skin, expression, light and small details are treated carefully. For some projects, we can also prepare a moodboard before the session, discussing references, clothing, atmosphere and the visual direction of the photographs.
This is particularly useful for model portfolios, creative portraits and professional photography projects.
From digital image to Fine Art print
A photograph doesn’t have to remain on a screen.
For selected projects, I also offer high-quality Fine Art prints. There is something different about holding a photograph in your hands and seeing it printed on a beautiful paper rather than scrolling past it on a phone.
If you wish, we can select a small number of images from the session and turn them into physical photographs to keep, frame or give as a gift.
A photography session created for you
I don’t believe in making every session follow the same formula.
The person, the idea and the final images should determine how we work. Some sessions are simple and spontaneous. Others require more preparation, different outfits, several lighting setups or a particular visual concept. Before we begin, we’ll talk about what you have in mind and decide together what makes sense.
There is no standard portrait when the person in front of the camera is unique.
Your session in Venice
Whether you are visiting Venice, living here or simply looking for a quiet place to create something personal, the studio can be a starting point.
We can work entirely in the studio, combine it with an outdoor session or create something completely different. The important thing is not to follow a predefined formula. It is to create photographs that still feel right when you look at them years from now.
Let’s create something together
Do you have an idea for a portrait?
Are you looking for a portrait photographer in Venice, a professional headshot, a model portfolio or simply a beautiful photograph of yourself? Tell me what you have in mind. We can talk about the project, the location and the best way to approach the session.
Your idea doesn’t have to be completely clear before you contact me.
Sometimes the best projects begin with a simple conversation.
