Shaving Beauty
Experimental Photography Portrait
What happens when a beauty portrait becomes a game?
Shaving Beauty is an experimental portrait photography project built around a simple and unexpected idea: shaving foam becomes a playful tool for transforming the face.
Two women, one Black and one white, experiment with foam, covering their faces and creating strange, funny and almost surreal expressions.
The result is deliberately imperfect. The foam changes their appearance, hides familiar features and turns a traditional portrait into something more spontaneous and ironic.
There is no attempt to create a perfect beauty image. Instead, the project plays with identity, beauty and the simple pleasure of doing something unexpected in front of the camera.
Sometimes a good portrait starts with taking yourself a little less seriously.
